ball and socket necklace. april 2026. ancient bronze. this was a project i made for my casting class i took this past semester. we were prompted to use repeated elements to create a chain of at least three links. this one has over 50 which were all wax injected and then cast in bronze. i have been thinking a lot about all of the amazing mechanisms in our bodies on the macro and micro levels and wanted to make my rendition of the ball and socket joints that are found in our hip and shoulder joints. i would love to do more work in this way the wax injector was a lot of fun as well as the mold making process 😺 though both were kinda smelly.

i had such an amazing time at penland school of craft this past week doing the organic iron workshop! it was my first time going and i will definitely be back. i was able to make some work i am really proud of and i even have some hooks for my new apartment. i met so many amazing people and the show and tell on the last night was truly magical. so many amazing artists at work there and it was so inspiring to be among all of them.

table! a lil nightstand for me final project for intro to woodworking. this took soooo long but im definitely happy with it and glad i have upgraded my nightstand from a crappy set of plastic drawers from target. cherry wood. danish oil and wipe on poly. 18” x 12” x 24”
